More About Tali
Hello! I’m Tali. I use she/her pronouns and am bilingual in English and Spanish. I’m a licensed clinical social worker, and I believe you deserve to have a therapist who is the best fit for you.
My Approach:
I operate from a Narrative Therapy worldview, which means I view you as the author of your own life. I view you as shaped by your stories and experiences, and see you as more than the problems you face. Therapy isn’t one-size fits all, and my additional training in EMDR, IFS, and TF-CBT allows me to customize my approach to what works best for you.
With a holistic perspective, I recognize that healing involves both revisiting your narratives, and reconnecting with and supporting your body’s natural processes. This approach considers the interplay between physical, emotional, and mental aspects, integrating mind-body communication to enhance overall well-being.
My role is to walk alongside you, creating a space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings with honesty and curiosity. I’m here to help you untangle the stories that may be holding you back, so you can rediscover your own empowerment and live in a way that feels true to who you are.
My Commitment:
I’m dedicated to staying curious and engaged, and understanding you based on who you tell me you are, rather than making assumptions. I value nonjudgmental emotional expression, radical honesty, creativity, play, and joy as central to both my personal life and my professional practice.
My work is rooted in social justice and human dignity, and I’m passionate about creating a space where everyone feels seen and valued. I’m passionate about working towards immigrant justice, committing acts of anti-racism, supporting Latinx and LGBTQIA+ communities, and breaking down barriers to mental health care.
My Beliefs About Therapy:
I believe everyone deserves therapy as an hour out of the week dedicated just to them, supported by a trained professional relationship in which to explore thoughts, feelings, meaning, and personal strengths. While we can’t erase negative experiences, we can feel heard for their impact, and we can find ways to move forward and carry them with us.
Therapy offers a chance to break free from old patterns by trying new approaches in a safe, supportive environment. The therapeutic relationship provides a reliable and secure space where you can explore new possibilities without fear of judgment, allowing us to try out different strategies and make meaningful changes.
My Beliefs About Healing:
I believe our bodies have natural mechanisms for self-repair, and that integrating mind-body practices enhances well-being. Healing is a deeply personal process of reconnecting with your true self, and embracing all parts of yourself with compassion. I believe healing happens in relationship and in community, and that It’s an ongoing process involving self-discovery, growth, grief, and joy.
